if you’re ever feeling frightened about what comes next, don’t be. embrace the uncertainty. allow it to lead you places. be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path towards happiness, don’t waste time with regret. spin wildly into your next action. enjoy the present, each moment, as it comes; because you’ll never get another one quite like it. and if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart.. where your hope lives. you’ll find your way again.
Sure, some people may treat it as a way to gain social acceptance or to seem like a better person, but that’s not the way it really is. The gospel offends people; it is scandalous. People will think you are crazy for worshipping a God you have never seen. People will call you out for speaking the truths. You will be hated and persecuted, Christ has promised you that.
But continue what you are doing. Be absolutely crazy for God. Devote every single moment, every breath to exalt His amazing name. Love God with every fibre of your being. Love the world even when it hates you back.
You have the most amazing, precious gift waiting for you: salvation. Christ has risen! We are saved! Being Christian is not easy; the world is secular, but what does that matter compared to the promises that God has given to us?
We are blessed to bless others…so never take anything you have for granted or live towards your own vanity. Your confidence in yourself will grow into selfish pride, and you need to remember you were given the good things in your life to give it away. Whatever you treasure, hold it loosely so it doesn’t hurt when you have to give it away. It’s all about surrender. To gain it all, you must lose it all.
This is what sin does to us.
We shut our ears from the Holy God…
Tuned out His voice, turning up our iPods
Unquenchable desires started to burn with in
Tried to fill the void with devastating sins
Uncontrollable lusts we yearn for more
But we don’t even know what we’re living for
Destroying the Earth the gift that God gave
Fighting for land sending each other to graves
Broken, dysfunctional relationships
Gossip and slander filling our lips
Logging on to facebook trying to have the best looks
The truth is we’re all hooked
War torn countries living in fear
but the rest of world doesn’t really care
Children starving struggling to live
While the rich sit back unwilling to give
Materialism running rampant in our society
Little kids armed with guns, an impropriety
Young girls taken sold for sex
While all we do is sit back and except
Injustice plaguing our world everyday
Humanity thrown in disarray
Creation screams in pain
Yet we continue to let evil reign
Divorce rates are rising
Morals more compromising
Corrupt advertising
When are we going to start realizing
That the way we are living is terrorizing,
Demonizing
The essence of who we are
Father, forgive us, we have strayed so far…
We cry out in need of a way out
Time is ticking clicking away
We’re headed the wrong way
Once a Holy race in union God
But now we’re a disgrace, we chase after frauds
Its easy to tell
We’re all headed straight to hell!
But you can choose to run the great race,
You can be saved through God’s grace
God has given to you his gift
Do you accept it?

please pray for me, i am a christian but i dont enjoy going to church anymore. something is wrong with me. please pray. thanks i really appreciate it.
There is nothing wrong with you, everyone has ”spiritual lows” and the loss of passion to know God. The thing to do is to try to evaluate your situation: why don’t you want to go to church? Do you find the programs/sermons uninteresting?
Remember that God is the fulfillment of your satisfaction, so don’t seek church as a social place or a place to be entertained. Nor can you take it as a ”spiritual gas station.” Try, perhaps, going to another church and trying out their youth group. In youth group, people will be around your age, therefore you can socialize and fellowship with them. Next, prayer must come from the heart. Others can pray for you as much as they can, but the change comes from you - you yourself must be willing to rededicate yourself to God.
Before reading the bible, pray. Perhaps it is sin in your life that’s hindering you from God. Whatever it is, let it all out. Pray before you read the word of God, and pray for an open mind and that God will speak to you through his message.
Read a bit of the bible everyday. Get a devotional, to help. I also suggest that you find strong Christian friends to be around. It’s not to say you cannot associate yourself with non-christians, but think of your situation like this — you are a christian, standing on a chair. A non-Christian can easily pull you down.
When your faith is low, they have a better influence on you to pull you farther away from God and sometimes you seek your satisfaction in earthly things which results in sin. Find a Christian friend who you trust, who can keep you accountable.
We’ll be praying for you!
Don’t be fooled!
How many “messiahs” have come and gone since Jesus uttered these words? How many people have been swept off their feet by slick talking, even leading gullible followers to their deaths? A common warning today is not to give a stranger advance payment for services promised later. Jesus said that his people don’t listen to “a stranger’s voice” (John 10.5). Being taught by God in his Word protects you from all the many falsehoods that are peddled as “the secret that will solve all your problems — for a small donation”.
